HOLA!

The year sure runs fast! I can’t believe we are in the second month already- wasn’t it just yesterday we greeted happy new year? For me here, it’s back to work – medical school is no joke. I am drowning in school work.  Phew!. Most times I wonder why we have to go to school or work at all. Why can’t I just be heir to some multimillion dollar company? Shrugs.

Anyways, In this post, I am combining two classic colors- RED AND BLACK!

Red is the color at the end of the spectrum of visible light next to orange and opposite violet. It’s a primary color as we all learnt in nursery and elementary school- who still remembers?

Red was widely used in prehistoric cave art made with red hematite or iron oxide. Early  civilization in China, Middle East and Europe made red dye from the madder  plant. In ancient Rome, red symbolized blood and courage . In the middle ages, red was the  color of majesty and a symbol of authority.1-IMG_0223

Red can vary in hue from orange-red to violet-red and for each hue, there’s a wide variety of shades from very light pink to dark burgundy.

Black is the darkest color, the result of the absence of or complete absorption of light. It’s the opposite of white- as we all know. It’s an achromatic color.

It was one of the first colors used by artists in neolithic cave paintings. It was a high fashion color in the 20th century century- Even for me in the 21st century, I love black! It does so much good all by itself. In the Roman empire,it became the color of mourning. It’s also associated with death, evil, witches and magic- no intents to creep you guys out *wide grin*.

In this post, I have used black and scarlet red. I love how the colors can stand out individually and still look amazing when combined. I have shot mostly indoors because I love how it gives the outfit a clean finish.

Love the feature. Brilliant as expected. An alluring juxtaposition of the brilliance of the colour red and classical black. The look is edgy, fresh yet distinctively individualistic.
    Loving the accessories too.
This is indeed your calling aside the medical. ?

Interesting combo. Not my cup of tea on a regular day but you did wear them very well.
I like the stories in today’s post. Colours thrill me. I might not be artistic so to say but I’m a typical melancholy who appreciates arts. From pink to burgundy……at that point, my eyes lit up.
Not wanting to creep us out……that made me laugh. Lol.

PS: Why are you wearing dark shades inside? *rubs invisible cream quickly*
