LOST ON BROAD STREET – FASHION MEETS ARCHITECTURE.

Hey guys!

I am back again to disturb your peace! Don’t hate me for it *makes puppy face*. But I have something really exciting to share with you.

I can’t believe it’s March already- about 60 days of the year gone! I hope we have all been up to something productive?  – Well, I have, thankfully.

In this post, I have taken it to the streets – literally. Lol. I have always been fascinated by not only vintage clothing and fashion but also vintage architecture – the sight of colonial buildings give me such a rush! I know, I am misplaced in time- I should have been born in the 70’s or 80’s. I am amazed at how simple yet solid the buildings are and how the designs look basic – compared to what we have now- yet classic.

Even though some of the buildings were dilapidated due to no maintenance- it was particularly challenging to find decent places to shoot – I was still able to work around it and put together this post. (Thanks to Seyi – He’s the photographer and also helped with direction on location. – He’s amazing!)

For my outfit, I choose all black as the base – because it’s my favourite colour. I have added a little pop of colour with the blazer. It’s a mix of navy blue and burgundy. It’s made out of 100% wool and it’s 100% comfortable.

I have accessorised with gold because I feel it sort of brings the whole outfit together for a cohesive look and a great finish! The second reason, I am sure we all know by now – if you don’t, read previous post here . *wide grin*

Fashion Tip: Black, a neutral colour, can be combined with almost any other colours. Look at it as a blank canvas on which you can paint on. So you can add colour to an all-black outfit and it would come out stunning but be careful not to use too many different colours – it might just turn out a hot mess!

I would have to stop here – I know, don’t be sad- sometimes good things have to end. But I would be back again soon. Enjoy the pictures and let me know what you think – Feedback is essential.
