The second day was like a repeat of the first day but I arrived slightly later due to the horrible traffic I was stuck in for an hour. I arrived at about 5pm. Everywhere was abuzz- from photographers trying to get the best streetstyle pictures to media houses trying to interview fashionistas. I loved the energy. Same as the previous day, I networked, made new acquaintances and reconnected with old friends.
My day two outfit was very risky I must say. I decided to try out cinching my blazer with a belt and I don’t think it came out half bad. It was inspired by the TaeKwonDo attire. I finished the look with black Chelsea boots. I must confess, I caused a bit of a conversation.
My favorite looks from day two are :
Moofa: The collection was Parisienne chic with bogus sunglasses and berets tipped to the side. It was very feminine with lots of lace and beaded applique in floral motifs. The colours lit up the runway!
David Tlale : It was a particularly interesting collection especially the three man outfit. A cohesive collection. Great job!
Re : It consisted of playful colours, visors for the hot summer sun and lovely adire print. The colour palette was everything. Great job!
Studio 189 : It consisted of a lot of stripes and floral prints and adire prints too- all tailored to perfection. A very colourful collection, I loved it!
Gozel Green : The collection featured a lot of bright colours making it summer appropriate.
Deji Eniola : His collection basically consisted of well tailored fusion of menswear, androgynous womenswear and safari jackets in suit fabrics. Beautiful collection!
Amede :The collection was made up of adire prints – which is my favourite right now. A playful and fun collection. I loved it!
Fruche : The collection was mostly monochrome with splashes of colour here and there. Generally an amazing collection. Great job!
